Kelly Ballard, founder of BeyondWorship™, and innovative proponent of The Indigenous Worship Voice, is uniquely prepared for coaching worship leaders, and for deepening the worship experience of the church. It is his unwavering resolve to inspire and empower churches to use their distinct worship differences to their advantage rather than to their detriment. Kelly has over two decades of experience in vocational worship arts ministry, which has taken him on the road, into the studio, to camps and conference centers, onto university campuses, and, primarily, into the local church. He has effectively served as pastor, worship director, singer/songwriter, entertainer, musician, and teacher. He has led worship events in 47 states, Canada, and Mexico. Because worship leadership is artistic, theological and pastoral, Kelly’s education has equipped him for a deep level of worship coaching. He graduated from Warner Pacific College with both a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory/Composition and a Master of Religion. He received a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from George Fox University. As a classically-trained musician with a background of jazz and rock-and-roll, Kelly enjoys and engages worshippers of all ages and styles, and is perfectly suited for coaching worship leaders in a variety of settings. Kelly serves as Lead Pastor at Cedar Mill Bible Church, Portland, Oregon, and lives in Sherwood, Oregon, with his wife, Frayne, and three sons, Dex, Kyle, and Kenny. He enjoys mountaineering, basketball, reading, writing, traveling, and all things family. To contact Kelly directly, please send an e-mail to kballard@beyondworship.com. |
